Polio Booster Campaign for Children
The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) announced today that children aged one to nine and living in Greater London will be offered a polio vaccine.
At present there are no details of how this booster will be given other than an intention that the vaccines be given over the course over the next six weeks and prioritising boroughs in which Polio has been detected within sewage.
Further communication should be coming out over the next few days (both to Practices and also to the Parents / Guardians of eligible patients).
