Thank you for taking the time to view some of our videos. We hope the videos found here will help aid in explaining a few things that may not come across well as verbal instructions.
Throughout Camden a new approach is being implemented for dermatological conditions called teledermatology. This method has been found very useful that during the COVID-19 period and with the introduction of e-consult we have adjusted the way we work.
We at Primrose Hill Surgery may ask a patient to submit pictures of the medical conditions. Before any pictures are looked at a Clinician will state the reason for the pictures and ask for consent for it to be saved or sent to secondary care. In most cases the pictures are just for a clinician to get a better understanding of what you are describing.
We ask that in the body of the email you send to firstname.lastname@example.org, you include your:
- Full name
- Date of Birth
- Name of clinician who asked you to submit photos
- Please state one of the following:
- “ I give my consent for this pictures to be saved to my medical record and if called for sent to a specialist consultant”
- “I don’t give my consent for these pictures to be saved and after the clinician has seen them for them to be deleted”
This will help speed up the processing of your pictures
Below is a video created by Michigan Medicine (www.UofMHealth.org) which will help demonstrate the type of pictures which are useful.
Please do not dowload the app as suggested please stop watching after they have ran through the types of pictures and the warning about using phone filters.
