Telephone Advice
If you need telephone advice and would like to speak to a doctor, you
can call the surgery and leave a message with the reception staff. The reception
staff will ask for details to give you the best advice. In some cases they may
suggest you call and ambulance or go to casualty.
Urgent and new problems will be triaged by the on call doctor who will call you
back as soon as possible, but will prioritise the calls to deal with emergencies
first. It may be more appropriate for ongoing problems to be dealt with by your
usual doctor. The doctors try to answer telephone messages within 24 hrs.
Please give a landline number. If you use a mobile number, please leave it switched
on.
